Waste of Time or Worthy Project? You Decide

I’ve been reading the Naruto manga, and upon reaching Chapter 286, I saw this bit of artwork of Sakura Haruno—a typical black-and-white drawing by Masashi Kishimoto—and suddenly had an idea for a wallpaper, more-or-less inspired by the art style used in Gankutsuou.

It took me about an hour to make this (mainly because I’ve forgotten how to best utilize all of Photoshop’s shortcuts and features), and to be honest, I’m not too sure whether or not I like the result…

Wild-Ass Guessing: Naruto Edition

WARNING: If you’re not up to date with the Naruto manga series, this post isn’t going to make any sense at all.  Well, it might not make sense even if you are, but if you aren’t, there isn’t much hope at all.  Being at least a little familiar with the original Star Wars trilogy (Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi) will also help some.  In any case, if you haven’t read through chapter 440, there are going to be some serious spoilers ahead.
